MISSION STATEMENT

EBONY PHOTOGRAPHY is a group dedicated to showcasing the Crème of the Ebony art crop in all it's facets. We only accept the best of the best of all Ebony Arts be it male or female photography and all the genre's within (from Art nude to Dark Arts to Portraiture).
We do not discriminate as we accept all QUALITY Ebony Art whether the subject of the art is only part Ebony and part White/ Asian/ Hispanic or Indian. All we ask is that the work is of high quality.

Who are the Founders & Co-Founders and what's their job here?

The Founder is the individual who created the group. The Co-Founder is the person whom was chosen by the Founder to help maintain the group.

Who are the Contributors and what's their job here?

Contributors are invited by the Founder and/or Co-Founder because of their expertise in their artform/s. They are here to help approve of the various submissions being accepted into the group. They also help maintain the group wherever the Founder and Co- Founder see fit.
They can provide feedback to help uplift the various members within the group to aid in the growth of all the artists within the group.

Can I be a Contributor?

You may apply however you need to the group 1st  then become a member, then the Founder and Co-Founder will review your status within the group pending their decision.


MEMBERS

Who are the members and what's their job around here?

Members of the dA community are all welcome to join ONLY if they adhere to our group rules. Individuals on the admin panel do ask dArtists to join based on the merit of their work. The name EBONY should tell you that we mean BLACK people which means black photographers/ models/ digital artists (depicting FINISHED works of ebony subjects) are welcome. We also welcome photographers of all races IF they have work depicting EBONY SUBJECTS.

PLEASE READ ALL THE RULES BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING
The following Deviant Artist will NOT be accepted under any circumstances.
1.) People who have no deviations.

2.) Caucasian or any other race of models other than black people.
(all the subdivisions within the black community are welcome which means if you are white & black/ Hispanic & black/ Asian & black you are welcome to the group)

3.) Caucasian or any other race of photographers other than the black.
(all the subdivisions with the black community are welcome which means if you are white & black/ Hispanic & black/ Asian & black you are welcome to the group)
This rule can be waived if you depict Ebony subject in your work in which case you are welcome to join pending review of your gallery

4.) Dodgy people/Porn artists.

Can I become a member?
Yes, we have membership applications open. Abide by the above mentioned rules and you are eligible for membership. You just need to click on the "Join Our Group" button (front page left). All members are subject to review pending membership approval

My image suggestion/submission was denied. Why?

Any of the following reasons:
1.) The image you suggested (for submission or favorite) is not under the incorrect category
2.) Your suggestion (for submission or favorite) doesn't properly credit stockers or is violating some dA policy.
3.) Your suggestion (for submission or favorite) considered art at all, even for a beginner / poor execution and lack of quality
4.) the image you suggested (for submission or favorite) is offensive.
Is there some limit of images I can contribute/suggest?
We limit the submissions to 4 a week for submissions and 4 for ’s.

I'm waiting for days for my work to be approved or denied. What's happening?

The staff here at EBONY PHOTOGRAPHY operate at a high level in their work which means we are busy people within our personal and professional lives. Do allow for atleast 72hours for your submissions to be approved/declined, as there are many things we are also busy with.
